Campus
Elkhorn Kids Campus (EKC) is our before and after-school childcare program that provides childcare in a familiar setting at each of the 12 Elkhorn elementary schools.
EKC offers large group games, outside play, arts and crafts, board games, free choice time, and many other activities designed to engage your child. Elkhorn Kids Campus is licensed by the State of Nebraska for children ages 5 through 12 and currently provides care for over 1,000 elementary students across the District.
Please note some elementary sites do have “waitlists” for admission. Please contact Amy Whorlow, EKC Program Director at awhorlow@elkhornfoundation.org for additional information.
EKC IS HIRING!

How we make a difference in Elkhorn Public Schools
We fund the numerous hours that our Elkhorn teachers spend outside the classroom assisting the hundreds of elementary school students who need extra assistance in math and reading comprehension.
We enrich Elkhorn Public Schools’ education by providing multiple Classroom Grants to all 19 schools in the District, impacting Elkhorn students at every grade level.
While our Classroom Grants program was placed on hold during the 2021-2022 school year due to COVID-19, we’re excited to share that we are now accepting Classroom Grant applications for the 2022-2023 school year through January 31st, 2022.
We administer scholarships on behalf of community businesses, families, and organizations. Together, our scholarship program has benefited thousands of graduating seniors.
Scholarship applications for the Class of 2022 will be open from December 1st to February 1st.
VIEW SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We encourage our Elkhorn teachers and staff to prioritize their continued education by providing partial tuition reimbursement. The Foundation provides thousands of dollars in tuition reimbursement every year.
We provide financial assistance to Elkhorn families in need, ensuring financial hardships do not stand in the way of our students’ physical, social, and emotional needs or their ability to achieve success within our schools.
Newly launched, the EPS Alumni Program’s goal is to connect Elkhorn Public Schools Alumni and support the success of students in the Elkhorn Public Schools District.
